A geotechnical consulting firm has told city officials that homes near the slump aren’t at risk, according to Reid Corbett, director of Saskatoon Water.

“The construction is going ahead as anticipated. Everything’s on schedule. In actual fact, we’ve been fast-tracking some of the construction here,” Corbett said.

The City of Saskatoon has issued a request for qualifications from contractors. Construction is planned for mid-August, scheduled to conclude in late fall.
