“Normally he stays in contact with his parents by Facebook and text message…and they hadn’t heard from him at all,” said Bowen Osoko a spokesperson for the Victoria Police Department.

Osoko says the police department is “pretty sure” a man seen in Chilliwack on May 31 was Labonte. At that point, the man believed to be Labonte said he was headed to Kelowna.

The police department says it is out of character for Labonte to go missing and his family is concerned about him. Police are trying to confirm that he is safe.
