Teens facing charges following theft attempt at a Saskatoon store

Two teens are facing charges after allegedly trying to steal items from a Saskatoon store over the weekend.

According to police, the teens entered a store in the 1200-block of 7th Avenue North in the North Park neighbourhood at around 10:15 p.m. CT on Saturday.

They then attempted to take several items.

One of the teens was detained by store security while the second fled on foot.

He was tracked by the air support unit to a yard in the 600-block of Duchess Street where he was taken into custody.

The pair, 15 and 17, are facing theft and breach of undertaking charges.
