Petro-Canada gas stations that still had some fuel left for customers on Friday, have dried up on Saturday morning as the fuel shortage continues to spread throughout the valley.
Suncor, which has agreements with Petro-Canada and Shell, says the problem is the result of the Fort McMurray wildfire and an outage at its Edmonton refinery.

The problem is affecting Petro-Canada stations throughout the Okanagan, Kamloops, as well as in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
On Saturday morning, staff at the Petro-Canada station in Peachland told Global News they had completely run out of gas around 10 a.m.

All Petro-Canada stations in Kelowna report they are completely out of fuel. The problem is also affecting stations in Oliver, Osoyoos, Penticton and Vernon.
There is no word on when the issue will be resolved; the fuel shortage could last for several weeks.
