Calgarians have been enjoying some very seasonal spring-like weather lately. The past week has ranged from 13 to 23 degrees Celsius for daily highs, overnight lows have spanned from two to nine degrees Celsius, and we have experienced wind, rain, sunshine and thunderstorms.

This weekend is going to feel more like summer.

Models are suggesting June 4 and 5 will be the warmest weekend in Calgary in almost nine months. The last time we had a Saturday and Sunday this warm was Aug. 8 and 9, 2015 when it hit 26 and 29 degrees respectively.

Breaking news from Canada and around the world sent to your email, as it happens.

Our forecast high for this Saturday is 27 degrees Celsius, and Sunday, 26 degrees.

Those temperatures are not warm enough to break any records, but Monday’s high might be.

The day-time high for Monday is expected to be 30 degrees Celsius. The record for June 6 is exactly 30.0C set in 1961.
