WINNIPEG — A 25-year-old man is dead after an early morning crash on the 1900 block of Corydon Avenue.
First responders arrived at the intersection of Corydon and Edgeland Bouelvard at about 1:20 a.m. Sunday morning.
Police say the driver lost control of the truck and crashed into a nearby building.
Sources tell Global News Cody Galbraith was the man who died in the crash while Jordan Allarie is the one in hospital.
“It does appear the vehicle went over the boulevard, took out a tree, and continued in an eastbound direction, struck a berm, took out a fence and then ultimately collided near a building,” said Winnipeg Police Service constable Jason Michalyshen.
The truck stopped against a tree several feet from the condo building.
People living in the condo building that was hit said it shook from the impact.

Both men were taken to hospital in critical condition, before one succumbed to his injuries.
Witnesses say people tried to help the two men in the truck before first responders arrived.
“One of the guys was taking his pulse, there was another guy who kept talking to him, saying hey, youre going to be okay so it was myself and a few others we had to push the truck and hold it to keep it from crushing him,” said Tristan Field Jones, who witnessed the crash.
A large section of Corydon was closed as police conducted their investigation.
They say speed is a factor in the crash.
The other man in the truck, also 25-years-old, remains in hospital under critical condition.
