A Mission man is facing a charge of luring a 14-year-old child following an investigation by Abbotsford police.
Abbotsford police’s Major Crime Unit got information that a man posted an online ad targetting young teenaged girls for sexual purposes.
After communicating with the suspect, which he though was 14 years of age, he requested to meet in Abbotsford for the purpose of engaging in sexual activity, according to police.
After observing the suspect loitering in the agreed upon meeting place, 47-year-old Robert Geisbrecht was arrested and charged by police.
The Major Crime Unit is continuing the investigation but said there is no immediate risk to children.
