Canadian firefighters are mourning a big loss.
On Wednesday morning, former Calgary Fire Chief Wayne Morris passed away from a battle with cancer.

He served as chief from 1999 until retiring in 2005. He received a national fire chief’s award of excellence in 2002, for outstanding contributions to both the community and the fire service industry.
Morris served with the department for 39 years.
