Police looking for 3 men after shooting on Peepeekisis First Nation

REGINA – A 29-year-old man was shot after a home invasion on the Peepeekisis First Nation early Wednesday morning.

The File Hills First Nations Police Service and RCMP were called to the Peepeekisis First Nation where it is alleged that three men entered a house and were calling for the victim by name. There was an altercations and the victim was shot before the three suspects fled the house.

The victim was transported to the Fort Qu’Appelle hospital and later to a Regina hospital where he was reported to be in stable condition.

Several other people were in the house during the shooting including a six-year-old boy.

Police are still investigating. The Peepeekisis First Nation is about 25 km northeast of Balcarres, Sask.
