As a precaution and to make sure he’s properly monitored, the doctor admitted Jackson to the hospital on Friday, where he’s still under observation.

According to TMZ, Jackson still has a high fever and doctors aren’t sure what’s going on in his body.

One of Jackson’s sons, Jermaine, spoke to a TMZ cameraman about his father’s condition, saying, “My father is doing much better. We were all worried… but all his vital signs are great, so we’re happy. He’s 87, so we’re just trying to hold onto him for as long as we can.”

In 2010, Joe confessed during an interview with Oprah Winfrey that he beat his children.

“I don’t [regret the beatings],” he said. “It kept them out of jail and kept them right.”

Jackson was defensive with Winfrey about his relationship with son Michael.

“I don’t think he was afraid of me,” he said. “What he was afraid of, he may do something wrong and I’d chastize him, but not beat him. I never beat him like the media tried to say.”

Jackson has 10 kids with wife Katherine, who lives separately from him.
