Statistics Canada says workers in Manitoba had the smallest salary increases in the entire country over the past year.
Figures from the federal agency show pay in the province increased by just over one per cent, with workers earning an average of nearly 823 dollars a week.

Saskatchewan had the biggest increase at five-point-four per cent, while the national average was two-point-five per cent.
Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce president Dave Angus says the figures show Manitoba is not attracting high-paying jobs.
But Wilf Falk, Manitoba’s chief statistician, says the province has actually been above the national average in wage growth seven out of the past ten years.
