It wasn’t until approximately 6 p.m. on Monday before a customer found the store owner bleeding on the ground.
The woman was transported to hospital with serious injuries to her head.
According to police, the woman remains in a state of shock and has yet to provide any details about the suspects.

“It breaks my heart to see somebody do that to an elderly person,” local resident Cheri Aiwohi told KHNL. “Choking her with a sleep hold and putting her down to the ground. No respect.”
“It’s really just disgusting,” added customer Kayla Kim.
The two robberies are the latest in a string of holdups that have targeted the store.
On Tuesday police confirmed the store was robbed for the third time in the last five days, but the assailant only managed to get away with a bag of chips and some other snacks.
“We’ve seen it many times over the years getting robbed.” Aiwohi said. “We’ll even chase the kids down the street.”
“People take advantage because you know they are elderly and they’re old so, they yeah, they just prey on them,” said Kim.
One suspect from Monday’s theft turned himself in to police, but officers would not elaborate on any details as the suspect was a juvenile.
