Good news for cottagers along the Manitoba-Ontario border, as the wildfires that forced dozen from their homes are shrinking.
Those evacuated in the in Caddy Lake, Ingolf and West Hawk Lake areas are allowed back onto their properties as of 8 a.m. Tuesday.
The Manitoba government said evacuation orders for Beresford Lake and Wallace Lake will be lifted at 1 p.m. Tuesday. However evacuation orders remain in place for Nora Lake and Florence lake.
Two forest fires along the the Manitoba-Ontario border, sparked on May 5 and forced dozens of evacuations. One wildfire was in the Nopiming Provincial Park area east of Beresford Lake and into Ontario, while the other blaze was in Whiteshell Provincial Park, northeast of Caddy Lake, and northwestern Ontario.

Cottagers returning must bring their identification and proof of ownership, or connection to the property, such as a tax bill or mail directed to the residence, the province said.
On Sunday the province said the Caddy Lake wildfire is 65 per cent under control.

Hunt Lake and McGillivray Falls trail will also be reopened after they were closed to hikers due to the wildfires. The Mantario trail remains closed.
