Drake brought Canadian humour with him across the border when he hosted and performed on Saturday Night Live.
The Toronto-based rapper played a contestant named Jared on the recurring “Black Jeopardy” sketch.
Jared (like Drake) is a black man from Canada, has a Toronto accent, and laments the fact that he couldn’t take the TTC to the game show.
He fails to answer any questions correctly in categories like “Oh snap,” and “Bruh.”

He does manage to drop as many Canadian names as he could, including comedian Rick Moranis, rapper Kardinal Offishall and Drake (whom host Darnell Hayes pretends not to know), prompting Hayes to wonder if “Canada has messed with your blackness.”
But Drake, as Jared, manages to show off his cred by the end of the show. Watch the video above for the full sketch.
