Van Nistelrooy is following in the footsteps of another Sun player.

At the 2015 CFL draft Dexter Janke was picked 44th overall by the Calgary Stampeders.

Van Nistelrooy is expected to attend a B.C. Lion’s camp later this month in Kamloops.

The Saskatchewan Roughriders had the top pick at this year’s draft. They selected University of Oklahoma player Josiah St. John who hails from Toronto.
