SASKATOON – Drivers who are still using Broadway Avenue and the Broadway Bridge in Saskatoon will want to look for a new route. Starting Monday, the intersection of Broadway Avenue and 12th Street will be closed.
This means there will be no direct route between Broadway Bridge and Broadway Avenue.
However, city officials said a planned competed shutdown of the bridge will not happen. After the initial excavation work and inspection, the project team determined work in the area could be reduced, providing very limited access to the bridge.

Water main work at the intersection is expected to take two weeks, followed by paving.
If all goes according to plan, work at the intersection should be completed on June 1.
The Broadway Avenue improvement project, which includes extensive water main upgrades and road paving, is expected to last until September.
