REGINA – Regina police are investigating a shooting that happened in the 2900 block of Dewdney Ave. Thursday evening.

Officers were called to a Regina hospital at 8:15 p.m. after a 21-year-old man entered the emergency department with a gunshot wound.

According to police, the man was shot ten minutes earlier by occupants of a nearby vehicle located in the 7-Eleven parking lot on Dewdney Avenue. The vehicle fled the scene immediately.

Police do not know the type of firearm that was used and have not located the suspect. The victim is still in the hospital.
