While the total number of storm related claims from this week’s wild weather in the province won’t be known for a couple of weeks, SGI already has a clearer picture of how much damage two major storm systems caused earlier this summer.
SGI has received a total of 1,500 property and more than 2,800 vehicle claims from those storms.
Wind damage is cited in most of the property claims with hail behind most auto claims.
The exact cost has not been determined.
SGI says there is a lag in people submitting claims because of summer holidays.
