A family of seven has escaped from their burning home on 90 Avenue in Langley.
The deputy fire chief tells Global News the residents heard banging and explosions early this morning and one of the daughters went outside and saw the flames.
When crews arrived they quickly helped the family escape from the home.
Everyone got out safely, although the home is nearly gutted.
It appears the fire started on the outside of the house before spreading through the garage and into the second floor.
There is no word yet on how the fire started and crews are not yet sure if it is suspicious.
