Yalda Machouf Khadir court case pushed to October

 MONTREAL – Yalda Machouf Khadir, the daughter of Quebec MNA Amir Khadir, made a brief appearance at the Montreal courthouse Friday where she is charged in several cases related to the student opposition to tuition hikes.

Machouf Khadir was part of a group of about 60 people tied to the student protests who appeared before Quebec Court Judge Pierre Labrie.

She is charged with a break-in at the offices of Line Beauchamp, the former education minister, a protest at Université de Montréal where school property was damaged, and an occupy-type protest at a CEGEP.

Her case was pushed back to Oct. 19.
