Fire crews battle morning blaze in River Heights

WINNIPEG —  A house fire in River Heights fire kept crews busy early Tuesday morning.

Around 4:20 a.m. fire fighters attended a blaze on the 600 block of Waterloo Street.

There are no reports of injuries or if anyone was in the home at the time of the fire.

Around five Tuesday morning crews remained on scene at the residence on Waterloo Street.

There were also several other fires overnight Monday.

Crews battled a blaze on the 400 block of McGee Street for reports of a fence and trash bin on fire. The arson unit was called out to the area and police said one person was arrested and taken into custody.

 The fire department was also called to the 600 block of Redwood Avenue for a garbage fire, the 400 block of Furby.
