It’s also possible we may break a weather record on Tuesday.

According to Environment Canada, the previous record high for Calgary on May 3 was in 1897 when it was 26.7 C.

“It’s going to be amazing as far as conditions and temperatures are concerned throughout the province in the days to come,” Witzel added. “We do take a bit of a dip Thursday and Friday but we’re still above seasonal.”

Temperatures are then expected to bounce back on the weekend, with highs in the low to mid-20s.
