Officers were called to a home on André Michaux Street, near des Iris Street, after numerous reports of an armed assault.
Montreal police spokesperson Manuel Couture said the suspect brandished a weapon during a conflict involving several people.
It’s alleged he then attacked two women, aged 34 and 60, stabbing them with a sharp object.
A 43-year-old man was also injured during the assault.
The three were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect was arrested at the scene at will meet with investigators later in the day.
Couture said the alleged assailant was the 34-year-old woman’s former boyfriend.
