Alberta man charged with first-degree murder in Leduc County death

EDMONTON – Police have charged a 32-year-old man with first-degree murder in a Leduc homicide.

On Monday, Leduc RCMP found a man’s body inside a home on a rural property in Leduc County.

Police said the man was found inside the home by some acquaintances.

The victim has been identified as 34-year-old Ryan Ross.

Gordon Robinson has been charged with murder in the death of Ross. Robinson was arrested in Edmonton on Wednesday.

Edmonton RCMP said they’re not looking for any other suspects.

Neighbours in the area said the home where Ross’ body was found is part of the Green Acres community. They said it’s a generally quiet area and many of the homes are gated off.

Some of the neighbours who spoke to Global News said they didn’t hear anything unusual Monday night.

Robinson’s first court appearance is scheduled for May 5 in Leduc Provincial Court.
