Parts of downtown Winnipeg Skywalk closed for over a week

WINNIPEG — If your commute includes parts of the downtown Skywalk, you may have to take an alternate route for just over a week.

The Skywalk between the Delta Winnipeg and the RBC Convention Centre will be closed starting today until May 6.

The City of Winnipeg said the closure is in place to accommodate repairs.

The Skywalk will reopen May 7 and remain accessible until early July, when it’s expected to close again so city crews can start a restoration project.
