Susan Boyle hospitalized after angry outburst at Heathrow Airport

Susan Boyle, who became an international sensation after stunning the world with her powerful voice on Britain’s Got Talent in 2009, had to be taken forcibly by police from London’s Heathrow Airport on Monday after she began behaving erratically.

Police were called to the British Airways lounge at the airport, where Boyle, 55, was in a heated argument with a staff member. The singer was headed home to Glasgow, Scotland.

As a witness told the U.K.’s The Sun, “She looked confused and was shouting: ‘I’ve done nothing wrong, I’ve done nothing wrong’ repeatedly.”

“There was a massive commotion and everyone was looking at her,” the witness continued. “Nobody knows what started the argument, but I was told it was something small that spiralled out of control. The cops looked pretty concerned as she was all over the place. They eventually took her away.”

This isn’t the first time Boyle has shocked airport-goers.

In early April, Boyle reportedly shouted “Help me!” at Derry Airport in Northern Ireland after a family argument escalated out of control and she was left alone in the terminal.

In 2010, other passengers were left flummoxed — again at Heathrow — when Boyle started dancing and sang into a mop grabbed from a nearby janitor. She also tried to shine people’s shoes with the mop.

At the time, British Airways staff tried to calm her down, causing Boyle to flee the lounge yelling, “I’ve escaped, I’ve escaped.”

Boyle was diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome, a form of autism, in 2013.

After Monday’s incident, Boyle was taken to hospital, evaluated and released. The attending doctors said her outburst was due to her Asperger’s, and Boyle flew to Glasgow as planned.
