The decision follows a registry drive that occurred last week.

Some 240 residents needed to sign a petition and more than 300 ended up signing their names towards the cause.
The proposed condo tower would have been built at the northwest corner of Cloverdale Avenue and Lakeshore Drive, just east of Dorval Avenue. It would have stood six storeys tall.
However, the petition doesn’t mean the project is completely squashed.
Down the road, the developer could scale it back and build a three-storey condo tower instead.
