Consultation set to discuss Dorval condo project

WATCH ABOVE: Public consultations are set to begin to discuss a proposed condo project on Lakeshore Drive in Dorval. As Global's Billy Shields reports, businesses are thrilled - but residents aren't so convinced.

DORVAL – A proposed condo tower is making waves in Dorval.

The tower would go on the corner of Cloverdale Avenue and Lakeshore Drive; it would have more than 60 units.

But not everyone is happy about the development.

Louis Plante bought his house in 1978 and insisted the tower would hide his home from the sunlight.

Others, like attorney Maria Battaglia, pointed out that the proposed building would be in keeping with the environs, and offer a much needed influx of business to the area.

A public consultation is scheduled for 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 11.
