WINNIPEG — People across Manitoba are heading to the polls today. If you wondering what identification to bring or where to cast your ballot, this page is your one-stop shop for everything you need to know about voting.
Who can vote?
You are eligible to vote in the provincial election if you live within the electoral division and you:
- Are 18 years of age or older on April 18, 2016
- Are a Canadian citizen
- Have been a resident in Manitoba for six months before election day

On Tuesday polls open up at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m.
Elections Manitoba says you should vote at your designated location found on your enumeration record. For locations, visit Elections Manitoba.
Do I need to bring ID?
If your name is on the voters list, no identification is required to vote on election day.
If it’s not, you need to show:
Option 1
Show one piece of government-issued photo ID. If none of your pieces of ID includes your current address, you will be asked to sign a declaration of address.

Option 2
Show two documents that include your name.
