VERNON – When a Kelowna grandmother picked up her $50-million dollar prize earlier this week, there was still another Okanagan lotto winner who had yet to come forward.
The identity of the winner of that $5 million lotto prize was revealed Thursday, and it was Robert Jaeger of Vernon.
Jaeger told lottery officials he was hardly able to sleep before he came into collect his winnings.
He plans to treat his friends to dinner and help family members with some of the money.
Jaeger bought the winning ticket in Vernon at Kirby’s Kiosk on Highway 6.
He is one of three Okanagan residents who have won big lottery prizes this year.
Kelowna’s June Bergh claimed a $50-million dollar prize this week.
Fellow Kelowna resident, Robert Goertzen is also a newly minted multi-millionaire. His prize was worth $21.9-million.
