CHATEUGUAY, Que. – On March 23, Taylor Sierant and her daughter went to a Super C grocery store in Chateauguay to pick up a few items and while waiting in line to pay, her toddler started crying.
That’s when Sierant says an employee came up to her and told her to leave.
“I said I’ll just pay for my juice boxes and leave and they said come back when your baby’s less cranky,” Sierant told Global News Friday.

Sierant says she left the store quickly without speaking to a manager because she felt embarrassed and upset.
Metro Inc. which owns Super C has since apologized.
A statement issued by the grocery store chain said:
“We apologize to the customer and regret any inconvenience with this situation. It is important when such a situation arises to report it to the store manager so that we can clarify and understand the circumstances and follow properly with our employees. We work very hard daily to provide the best customer experience in all of our stores and deplore the situation, which is an isolated case.”
The young mother hasn’t returned to the store since the March incident but says she will go back and file a formal complaint.
