Rolling Stone is reporting that Aerosmith might perform their way into retirement.
The news comes after the band’s lead singer, Steven Tyler, was interviewed by the publication. His comments have led many to speculate they’ll do a farewell tour in 2017.
“I’m doing 30 [solo] shows from May until August, and then in 2017 we go out with Aerosmith. We’re probably doing a farewell tour.”

The band hasn’t performed together since a show in Moscow on Sept. 15, 2015. Tyler has spent the past year promoting his first country album and its first single, “Red White and You.”
In the interview, the lead vocalist also discussed the current state of classic rock.
“Look, there’s two bands that still have the original members, us and the Stones,” he said. “I’m grateful for that. Whether we do a farewell tour or go into the studio and do another record, I’m just excited about it.”
