Clifford Knight, 45 is charged with assault and disorderly conduct while his wife, Latoya Knight, 38, was charged with disorderly conduct and threats.

Both have been released on bonds totalling $7,500.

The incident began between an unidentified 21-year-old man and Clifford Knight over crab legs while in line at the Royal Buffet.

According to WVIT News, Knight punched the victim in the face, resulting in the man losing a tooth.

“They have plenty of food they can bring more out. There’s no reason to fight over crab legs,” said one woman to WVIT about the incident. “And to punch a kid, I mean come on now you’re a grown man. It’s crazy.”

The victim’s mother is said to have pepper-sprayed Clifford Knight.

Police say the mother will not face any charges because she was acting in self-defence.

The couple is expected to make a court appearance on April 14.
