REVELSTOKE — On Sunday March 27 at 3:45 A.M. the Revelstoke RCMP responded to a Bait Vehicle activation west of Revelstoke on the Trans-Canada Highway.
The activation notifies police of the movement of the Bait Vehicle, in this case a Bait Sled and Bait Truck.
Shortly after the theft was reported, the Bait Vehicle was stopped in a near-by residential area.
The Bait Snowmobile was unloaded onto a property and the culprits returned to the Bait Truck departing the area.

Revelstoke RCMP officers then observed the Bait vehicle cross Highway 23 South onto Big Eddy Road, where the occupants showed the intention of fleeing from the responding officers.
The video footage from the Bait vehicle was reviewed and information on that video allowed the RCMP to arrest a 30-year-old Revelstoke male, Ryan Hall.
A warrant exists for the second male, a 29-year-old Vincent Matthew Porteous, of a last known address in Peachland.
In addition, RCMP executed a search warrant on an enclosed snowmobile style trailer and recovered the Bait Snowmobile as well as additional snowmobiles of interest to police.
Police say Porteous is considered to be violent and dangerous and should not be approached.
