Guns N’ Roses performs together for first time in 23 years

In 2012, Rose was asked if Guns ‘N’ Roses would ever re-unite.

He responded by saying, “not in this lifetime.”

For the first time in 23 years, the band’s original members hit the stage together and Guns N’ Roses performed live.

The concert’s lineup included original band members Axel Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan. Dizzy Reed who joined the Guns ‘N’ Roses in 1990, Richard Fortus (2002) and Frank Ferrer (2006) were also on stage.

The band performed before 500 fans at the Troubadour nightclub in Los Angeles Friday night and the club’s marquee read “Not in This Lifetime.”

The gig was announced earlier in the day though the band’s Twitter page.

It was the band’s first live show since July 17, 1993 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

On Friday, the band also officially announced their 2016 “Not in this Lifetime” concert tour. They will be in Toronto at the Rogers Centre on July 16th.
