Ecomuseum Easter egg hunt attracts big crowds

MONTREAL – What could be more fun than an Easter egg hunt in a zoo?

That’s exactly what the Ecomuseum had in store for visitors at the Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue zoo this Saturday.

“It’s the biggest event in the year,” David Rodrigue with the Ecomuseum Zoo said. “We have all kinds of activities but of course the most popular is the Easter egg hunt.”

Rodrigue was quick to point out that the tiny chocolates aren’t actually hidden on site because of the live animals.

Instead children are sent on a scavenger hunt of sorts. The goal is to find different animals and go on a fact-finding mission. At the end of the hunt, kids are rewarded with colourful chocolate eggs.

On top of meeting the Easter bunny and getting some sweets, kids had a chance to talk to Ecomuseum zoologists and meet some of the zoo’s famous residents.

Couldn’t make it to Saturday’s festivities? Not to worry, the Easter fun continues all day Sunday.
