SaskEnergy says it learned Sunday morning about the leak at its facility about two kilometres southwest of the city.

Vanessa Beaupre, a spokeswoman for the Crown utility, says the gas vented into the atmosphere and did not pose a threat to humans or the environment.
Beaupre says the company’s operations will not be affected by the leak and that an investigation will be conducted into the cause of the escape.
Technicians are expected to be at the site for the next day or so.
Five caverns at the storage facility have the capacity to hold enough gas to meet about 40 per cent of Regina’s consumption during the winter.
