Winnipeg Blue Bombers add two more including former NFLer Johnny Patrick

WINNIPEG — The Blue Bombers continue to add players with their mini-camp now just a month away.

The Bombers signed defensive back Johnny Patrick and defensive end Jordan Stanton on Tuesday.

Patrick, 27, played with the New Orleans Saints and the San Diego Chargers. He also spent some time with the New York Jets. In three years in the NFL, Patrick appeared in 37 games where he recorded 62 tackles, 1.5 sacks, one interception and one forced fumble. Patrick was selected by the Saints in the third round, 88th overall in the 2011 NFL draft.

Stanton, 22, was most recently on the New York Giants practice roster. He played four seasons at James Madison University where he started 28 of 45 games and racked up 13.5 sacks.

The Bombers will hold their three day mini-camp from April 25 to 27.
