Southern Alberta rollover causes power outage in Chestermere

CALGARY – A rollover in southern Alberta caused a brief power outage in part of Chestermere on Tuesday.

The crash happened at around 9:30 a.m. on Highway 791 and Township Road 240, southeast of the city.

Investigators said it appeared the 17-year-old driver lost control of her vehicle, which rolled and hit a power pole. She suffered minor injuries.

The crash damaged area power lines, causing a temporary power outage in the east side of Chesteremere.
