A lockdown at New Brunswick Community College in Moncton has been lifted.
RCMP said reports of a gunman seen near the New Brunswick Community College Thursday morning was unfounded in a news release.
Police said they searched the school and the surrounding area.
The college went into lockdown around 8:30 a.m. AT. It was lifted an hour and a half later.
One student was under his desk hiding, his mother told Global News.
A representative of the college says the safety of the students is a top priority.
