Another lengthy debate is expected on Tuesday night, as people weigh-in on a new affordable housing project in northeast Calgary.
The Calgary Drop-In and Rehab Centre has purchased the Quality Inn on Edmonton Trail and McKnight Boulevard.
The organization plans to start renting out rooms to pre-screened clients for between $400 and $600, in July.
They plan to start with 20 units, and want to expand to over 100 within a year.
Many Greenview residents are concerned their new neighbours will bring down their property value, and hundreds packed the hotel last week to voice their concerns.
Tuesday’s meeting will be at the Thorncliffe-Greenview community centre.
