REGINA – A Regina establishment in the 600 block of Victoria Ave East was evacuated early Friday morning following a joint investigation between the Regina Police VICE unit, Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority, and Regina Fire Department.

Pump Roadhouse nightclub patrons were forced to leave the premises after the fire marshal ordered the building closed, due to a non-functioning fire alarm system.

The joint effort also found other violations, including under age patrons with no identification on the premises and over capacity.

The minors were charged under the Alcohol Gaming Regulations Act.

The establishment will also be facing charges under the Alcohol Regulations Act.

In a statement to Global News, Pump Roadhouse manager Mark Smith said:

“We try our best to ID everyone, unfortunately some under age people get in someway somehow. We have meetings scheduled next week with Fire Inspectors and SLGA Inspectors and will be working closely with them to rectify these situations.”
