Wanted man facing child pornography charges in Saskatoon

SASKATOON – Saskatoon police say a wanted man is facing child pornography charges. On Wednesday, investigators received information that a man was claiming to have sexually abused a child in the past and had immediate access to the child.

Just after 4 p.m. CT, members of the Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) unit entered an apartment in the 1600-block of Main Street where the assault was alleged to have happened but no suspect was found.

At around 6:10 p.m., officers spotted a 34-year-old man matching the suspect’s description outside and arrested him.

The accused faces charges of making child pornography, make available child pornography, possession of child pornography and arranging to commit a sexual offence against a child. He was also wanted on outstanding warrants.
