Health Canada has approved a new pesticide-free treatment for head lice.
“NYDA” is a spray that kills 97 per cent of lice, eggs and larvae in less than a minute.

It contains dimeticone, which physically coats and smothers the lice.
“NYDA” does not penetrate the skin and is considered safe for children aged two and over.
One in every 14 Canadian households with children have had at least one head lice infestation in the past 12 months.
Children between the age of five and twelve are the most likely to have head lice.
