Descartes Systems buys Integrated Export Systems for US$35 million in cash

WATERLOO, Ont. – Logistics software company Descartes Systems Group (TSX:DSG) says it will pay US$35 million cash to buy Integrated Export Systems, Ltd. and IES Asia Ltd.

IES provides software to help freight forwarders, customs brokers and others manage their businesses.

The deal, which is subject to customary closing conditions, is expected to close during Descartes’ second quarter which ends July 31.

The acquisition announced Wednesday follows a deal by Descartes last week to buy Infodis B.V., a Dutch software company, for euro3 million.
