A fatal crash has claimed the life of a 34-year-old man from Miramichi, police say.
At about 6:15 a.m. Thursday, RCMP were called to the scene of a serious collision between a cube van and a tractor trailer on Route 8 near Bartibog.

Police say the driver of the van, the 34-year-old, died as a result of his injuries.
A collision reconstructionist from the RCMP is on scene to help in the investigation and traffic is being diverted as Route 8 is blocked in both directions.
