Lori Carr of the Sask. Party has won the Estevan riding with 4,862 votes beating out the NDP’s Tina Vuckovic who got 556 votes.
Summary: With four-term MLA Doreen Eagles stepping down, Estevan will elect a new MLA for the first time since 1999 this election.
Boundaries: A riding on the province’s southern border, Estevan includes the town of Estevan itself, along with the communities of Bienfait and Roche Percee to the east, Torquay and Tribune to the west, and Macoun, Midale, Halbrite and Goodwater to the north.
Last Election: Eagles defeated NDP candidate Blair Schoenfeld by 3700 votes, 79-17 per cent—the largest of her four victories.
