Police say the incident happened just after 2 p.m. Sunday and that the pair were found standing near the partially submerged vehicle, which investigators say is worth roughly $138,000.

Officials were still trying to get the car out of the lake about four hours later.

Police say a male and female that were inside the vehicle were not injured.
