Northern Alberta hotel and restaurant destroyed by fire

EDMONTON — A hotel and restaurant in northern Alberta was completely destroyed by fire Saturday morning.

The High Level Fire Department, High Level RCMP and EMS crews were called to the 4 Winds Hotel Lobby Lounge, and Restaurant in High Level at around 9 a.m.

Crews managed to contain the blaze to the one structure, but the hotel and restaurant is considered a total loss.

Everyone from inside the building was able to escape without injury.

The cause of the fire is under investigation but crews do not think it is suspicious in nature.

At this point there is no damage estimate.

High Level is located about 740 kilometres northwest of Edmonton.
