The popular self-balancing devices have been linked to multiple fires and explosions since arriving on the scene last year, becoming one of 2015’s most sought-after gadgets. Last month, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said it was investigating dozens of fires caused by hoverboards across the United States.
